Exactly why...?

When I run out of money, or shop-bought food (or sometimes both!) I tend to jump to the web to find something I can make for dinner which will fill me up, yet only uses the things we have already. Whilst this sometimes goes wrong (some experiments always have to, right?) it can also result in a new favourite, or a little snippet of knowledge which I can use in culinary trials to come. Anyway, for a while I played with the idea of compiling my successes and failures in a blog to help future food-lovers scrape a meal from their bare cupboards. Aaand basically, here it is...
